• Ortega Elementary Superstar Choir is a group of (currently) 45 hardworking 2nd - 5th grade students who rehearse weekly under the direction of Ortega's rockin' music teacher, Mr. Wood.
• Since the Fall of 2005, the Superstar Choir has been performing their brand of African-American spirituals for audiences not only at Ortega Elementary, but also all around Austin. 
• The Superstar Choir performs annually at the following events:
  • Harvest Fest at Eastside Memorial High School
  • Great Christmas Tree Event at the Omni Hotel
  • ​Dia de la Familia at Austin Community College (ACC)
  • STEAM Fest at Martin Middle School
